Overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, and Macau students who were born overseas and have continuously resided there until now, or have recently resided overseas for a minimum of 6 years and obtained proof of long-term or permanent residence in their country of residence, can apply for undergraduate programs at universities and colleges in Taiwan through the "Joint Distribution" or "Individual Application" channels facilitated by the Overseas Joint Recruitment Committee. They can also apply for admission to master's and doctoral programs to pursue a degree. Overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, and Macau students who have obtained a bachelor's degree (including recent graduates) from universities and colleges in Taiwan can apply to the Overseas Joint Admissions Committee for admission to master's programs. Similarly, overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, and Macau students who have obtained a master's degree (including recent graduates) can apply for admission to doctoral programs at universities and colleges.
